Tanda Widgets, 2008-ongoing.

Tanda Foundation create simple mechanism to raise funds in public events, promote our model and connect off-line with potential Patrons and Candidates.

Tanda Foundation mimic the logic of the on-line widgets to collect money in an off-line fashion, creating little machines and situations that materialize the act of giving, engage and create community and interest based on social interaction.

Lego Widget: The first widget, the Lego Tanda Dispenser exchange a dollar for an over-sized coin that let the donor, trigger a button out of the machine. The machine was featured in Mixer @ Eyebeam NYC. + Documentation

Collection Widget: The second version is a Collection Machine was installed in the exhibition space of Other Options New York, organized by inCUBATE. The machine is a hacked bill reader, programmed to reject any bill bigger than 1 dollar. + Documentation

Soup Widget: Sopa Dominical. Celebrated during Collecart in Mexico City. We copied the Sunday Soup model by inCUBATE to collect funds by selling bean, alphabet and lima bean soup for 3 days. To set the amount of the donation, we weight your wallet in a balance. The result minus a zero was the suggested donation. + Documentation

Piñata Widget: The fourth widget was created for Pixelache 2009 in Helsinki. The squared piñata made of scraps, functioned as widget during the festival and the funds were donated to the organizers of the events. + Documentation
